A lesbian high school baseball coach is brought to her breaking point when her dreams of winning the championship game are threatened by a transgender student who is set on joining her team.

Turf is a dark comedy that plays with the timely conversation of transgender athletes. It deals with how anti-trans laws and rules can affect whole communities, beyond just holding back transgender individuals. The film follows a lesbian high school baseball coach as her desire to win corrupts her into a “TERF”, trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist. Her success is threatened by a trans-male student who wants to join her team, but due to local rules, they cannot compete at the championships if a trans athlete is included. It explores how trans kids can become the scapegoats for insecure adults.
